Kim Keck is BCBSA’s president and CEO. During more than three decades, Keck has built a reputation as an engaged, dynamic and incisive leader in the health care industry. She is passionately focused on leveraging the deep local roots and national reach of the Blues to create a better system of health in America.
Prior to joining BCBSA in 2021, she served as president and CEO of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, the state’s largest health insurer. Keck previously spent 28 years at Aetna, where she held leadership roles spanning from head of enterprise strategy to head of investor relations, treasury, tax, actuary, controllers and planning, president of Aetna’s northeast region and interim president of the southeast region.
Keck is board chairperson for Synergie Medication Collective and serves on the boards of directors of HarmonyCares, Evolent Health and BCS Financial. She is a frequent speaker on topics related to health care policy and leadership and has received numerous leadership awards and honors.
Keck graduated with honors from Boston College with a degree in mathematics and earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Connecticut. She is a CFA charter holder.
